BPLD — Borges da Ponte, Linhares Dias & Associados — Sociedade de Advogados, SP, RL is a law firm whose work is guided by the values of Knowledge, Competence, Transparency and Security.

With a rich history whose roots reach back to the 1980s, BPLD & Associados has been at the forefront of modernising the conditions in which it serves its clients and of keeping its knowledge and its advisory and consultancy practices continuously up to date.

With a body of professionals who ensure that those values are consistently upheld, BPLD & Associados has, over the course of its history, been involved in practically every area of life in the Autonomous Region of the Azores — whether in public law, through advisory work or litigation involving local and regional administration, including the public corporate sector, or across the many fields of private law, advising and litigating for private entities of every kind, among them some of the region's leading economic groups.

Today the firm works throughout the country, with particular presence across all the islands of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, in mainland Portugal and in North America.

Since 2024, BPLD&A has been part of Sérvulo Latitude, a partnership network established by Sérvulo & Associados that brings together leading law firms across the Portuguese-speaking jurisdictions — from mainland Portugal, the Azores and Madeira to Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, East-Timor and Macau — each retaining its full autonomy and independence. For our clients, this means a single point of contact that combines close knowledge of the Azorean market with the ability to handle, alongside our partner firms, matters extending beyond a single country or geographical area.

Several of the firm's lawyers have held office in regional and national administration, in the Portuguese Bar Association and in institutions of the justice system. That experience translates into close knowledge of how the institutions our clients deal with actually work.
